A warm welcome to all visitors, members and patrons to the 2023 season at North Devon. This season the club celebrates a momentous 200 years and all the members of the first team are excited to see what we can achieve during this huge season for the team and club.

This season we welcome Shantanu Mishra as our overseas. Shantanu is from India and plays first class cricket for Odisha so brings with him great pedigree and top-level experience which
will take the club onto new levels with his preparation, talent and knowledge of the game. I am sure everyone at the club will take a huge amount from Shantanu and ensure his time with us is an enjoyable and successful one.

Jack Popham and Ben Howe continue as vice captains. Both are fantastic leaders in the side and are, like myself, hugely motivated to take this team and club to new levels.

In terms of our aims and targets for the year, it is to build and improve on our position last season and put in another push for the league - however this time winning it. With the younger
players gaining a huge amount of experience from the highs and lows of last year, we are in a better position to deal with the challenging periods which will no doubt come during the season. I look forward to seeing you all throughout the season which will be full of celebration and recognition of the 200 years existence of our prestigious club.
