First of all, what a great group of players; they have been so supportive of each other and I cannot underestimate how that positivity has helped deliver a great number of wins. 5 wins out of 7 meant we finished the season in 2^nd place, only losing out to Filleigh in two very close games.

The team was very well led by Stan Hill (Captain) and Charlie Flood (Vice-Captain) and there were a number of outstanding performances through the season, particularly in dominant wins over Braunton and Newton Tracey. With batters having to retire at 15 runs we started to see more and more players achieve this feat on a regular basis, well done. Over the course of the season we started to see the team as a whole improve especially in fielding and bowling accuracy which meant we gave away far fewer avoidable runs, this was certainly worked on in training (a lot!) and it was great to see it being put into action in matches. 

As the squad becomes the U11's in 2025 I hope they take the positive attitude with them as it was a pleasure to see it in action, and it certainly helped give us an edge in several games. I will miss coaching this group and wish them the best as they leave softball behind and embark on hardball cricket!
