NDCC Juniors 2025 season
The 2025 season was a significant one for us and saw us move to coloured kit due to the immense generosity of a couple of parents, my thanks to them is huge. We are the only club in North Devon with a whole junior section in coloured kit. We had some fantastic cricket across all the age groups with the season finishing in September with U17’s being crowned as Devon Champions!
One of my key aims as Junior Chair isn’t solely focused on what happens on the pitch, but rather on bringing in more volunteers across all areas to help share the workload involved in running the junior section. I’m delighted to say I was absolutely overwhelmed by the level of support and commitment shown throughout the season.
We were fortunate to have a large number of volunteers taking on a wide variety of roles, many stepping forward for the first time. I would like to extend a huge thank you to each and every one of them. They truly are the backbone of the junior section—helping with registrations at training, organising food, serving drinks, managing lost property, clearing up afterwards, and countless other tasks that often go unnoticed.
This is also my usual opportunity to make a plea for even more help, as additional volunteers are always welcome.
NDCC continues to benefit from an excellent group of qualified coaches, and the standard of coaching provided is outstanding. Having such a dedicated team, many of whom give up their time on multiple evenings each week, makes my role significantly easier.
I have left it to the coaches to explain a bit about last season and their hopes for the 2025 season.
We again finished the season with a celebration day which included 2 concurrent parents / guardians versus junior games, these were then followed by a presentation and awards and the raffle and auction. The weather made the cricketing part of the day hard, but we got through. We have already booked the awards day for this season, this should be the 19th September and will this year incorporate the adults end of season awards too. It’s a fantastic end to the season and allows us to celebrate the efforts of the juniors and the helpers and coaches too.
We have been running training throughout the winter, it has been a huge success again and we’ll look to keep on running this going forwards. On to 2026, the season is nearly upon us! We have some fantastic coaches and team managers and we’re massively supported by all of the parents, guardians and grandparents. We’ve got a fantastic group of children who are developing all the time. It’s a privilege for me to be a part of all this and to see how the juniors are developing and continuing into adult cricket.
Here’s to a successful 2026.

Like most local cricket clubs NDCC would not be able to survive were it not for the generosity of our sponsors. This year our main sponsor is SCC Toyota Roundswell.
