Overseas Player

2017 Overseas player – Callum Hotham

This year we welcome Callum Hotham from Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia, as our overseas player. Callum is a progressive 20 year old wicket keeper and batsman. He enjoyed a prolific school career, representing the St Stanislaus 1st XI for several seasons and then being vice-captain of the Independent Schools Association in 2012/13.

After four successful seasons playing for City Colts in the Bathurst District Cricket Association (1,205 runs at 41.55), this season in Australia he has been playing for Caloundra CC in South
Queensland’s Sunshine Coast Cricket Association where his top score was 170. He has recently signed for Western Suburbs CC who play in the Sydney Grade Competition, where he will be playing alongside Michael Clarke and Mitchell Starc.

Callum has spent the last two English summers playing for Glastonbury CC in the Somerset Division of the West of England Premier League. Whilst he found English conditions quite challenging in his maiden stint in 2015 (388 runs at 21.56), he produced the goods on his return last year, hitting centuries against North Perrott (147) and Wembden (113) en route to 520 runs at 37.14 and helping Glastonbury to winning the league.

We wish Callum an enjoyable, successful and rewarding season with us.
